We welcome the initialing of the “Political Agreement” by the great majority of delegates following their negotiations held at es-Sahirat, Morocco, which is the outcome of their long negotiations in the UN-facilitated Libyan political dialogue process, and their readiness to proceed to the negotiations of the annexes of the Agreement.

On the other hand, it is of vital importance to secure the approval of all the delegates participating in the political dialogue process in order to formalize and implement in a comprehensive manner, the arrangements envisaged at the “Political Agreement” and its annexes, starting with the formation of a Government of National Accord, for the transition process in Libya. In this framework, we believe that the other delegates will also sustain their constructive contributions to the process.
