Announcement for Job Vacancy & Application Procedure

Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Abu Dhabi, Office of the Commercial Counsellor is planning to employ one "Qualified Local Expert”.

Responsibilities:

To assist the Commercial Counsellor in:

  • preparing regular reports,
  • organizing exhibitions and promotional activities,
  • informing companies on commercial and economic issues,
  • establishing relations with local institutions and companies,
  • managing the daily/weekly/monthly agendas and arranging new meetings and appointments
  • undertaking reception duties for official events when required, and
  • fulfilling other duties given by the Commercial Counsellor.

    • Required skills:

    The applicants are required to have:

    • Turkish citizenship and speak Turkish as mother tongue,
  • graduated from at least an undergraduate programme (preferably in a related field such as economics, international trade, law, business administration, international relations, management, finance, political science)
  • a very good command of English,
  • the ability to conduct academic research, prepare reports and information notes,
  • sufficient knowledge and experience in the use of computer programs (especially Microsoft Office programs),
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills in addition to organizational skills,
  • the age below 35 years,

  • a valid driving license,

  • physical and mental abilities required by the working conditions,
  • completed or postponed his military service if the Turkish national applicant is male,
  • no criminal or judicial records.

    • Desired skills:

    • knowledge and interest in Turkish law (familiarity with foreign trade legislation is an asset)
  • experience in a relevant field

    • The documents required for the application are listed below:

    Application Letter/Letter of Intent (must include the applicant's address, mobile phone number and e-mail address).

    Scanned PDF versions of:

    • Passport or biometric photographs (recently taken)
  • Identity Document (Turkish translation in case of foreign identity card)
  • Graduate Diploma (Turkish translation in case of a foreign graduate diploma) and language exam results/certificates
  • Current CV in Turkish and English

    • Application and deadline:

    Candidates who have the above-mentioned requirements should apply to the Office of the Commercial Counsellor via e-mail (abudhabi@trade.gov.tr) between 1/06/2024 and 30/06/2024 with the documents stated above.

    Applications submitted after 30 June 2024 will not be accepted.

    Originals of the required documents and their one (1) copy should be presented before the interview/exam.

    Examination:

    After the application, the candidates whose qualifications are found suitable will be informed throughtheir e-mail addressmentioned in their letter concerning the date and the place of exam. The exam will consist of a written exam, an applied test for Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint and Word in particular) and an oral interview. Turkish and English levels along with topics related to general foreign trade and economics will be assessed.

    Please note thatafter the exam, the successful candidate must move to a residential address in Abu Dhabi.

    Important Note:The employer shall initiate a legal action against the ones who presents deceptive documents or statements; if recruited, the recruitment shall be cancelled; if paid the payments shall be compensated with legal interest rate.
